Cemetery Photos

I received photos taken by Margie Belcher of the Goodykoontz Cemetery. These are the latest batch of Cemetery photographs taken by volunteers in an ongoing effort to document all the cemeteries in the area. Margie has been a big help in this project as have many other people.





This is a big project for me as I have volunteers in several counties taking photos of grave markers. I am behind on the posting of these photos, but i'll get them all done in time.





If you have pictures of grave markers, i'd love to add them to the collection. Please send them on CD to me or deliver them to the Fincastle Library, or you may e-mail them to me at renaworthen@gmail.com

Marriage Records

I know you will be pleased to know that Barb-R and I have acquired a great number of marriage bonds and licenses for Floyd County from film borrowed from LVA, dateing from 1853 - 1973. We are in the process of indexing these and making the index avaliable on the Floyd website at Rootsweb. A copy of these images will also be in the Fincastle Library in Fincastle, Va.
